#2yrs2long: Free Assange!

Today marks two years of Julian Assange being detained without charge in any country.

Call the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) or your nearest Australian Embassy or Consulate to demand the Australian government act to defend Assange.

You can read the Wikileaks Australian Citizens Alliance (WACA) statement here.

#2yrs2long is the twitter hashtag to follow.

TheBeanBlog will be releasing designs and posters for your downloading. And of course you can email me with your own requests, specifications, ideas and artwork!

But first...

New Tshirts: Gillard, Carr and Roxon in appropriate headgear

For a limited time only at the Official WikiLeaks Store, you can purchase these new Ts 'commemorating' #2yrs2long and calling out the Aussie government's toadying to the US administration.

Profits go to keep WikiLeaks strong. And the least we can do is make a public statement every time we're out and about!

For those outside Australia unfamiliar with these characters... that's the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Attorney-General in the funny hats.

Australia: Defend Assange Now!

Update: posters now online: here and here!
